Typekit recently announced the ability to sync Typekit fonts to your desktop; learn more in the blog post “Sneak preview: Syncing fonts to your desktop”.

We're starting with 175 font families from 7 top-tier foundries. You’ll be able to sync them to your desktop and use them in all your applications for web mockups, print design, word processing, and more. This feature will be available in mid-June along with a major update to Adobe Creative Cloud.

In the meantime, if you need to work with a specific font in your desktop applications, you'll need to acquire a desktop license from the foundry. Each font detail page includes a link to where you can buy an installable version of the font from the font’s designer or owner.
