If you have turned on the new language subsetting feature, the options in your kit editor will be different. Read more about subsetting and how to opt in to early access in this blog post.
Many fonts on Typekit include support for multiple languages. To find fonts for your languages, browse fonts and select the languages you need support for in the sidebar.
You can filter by multiple languages at a time; e.g., if you need fonts that support English and Spanish, select both languages to only see fonts that include characters for both languages.
Once you've selected the font(s) you want and added them to your kit, check the "Language Support" settings to make sure you are using the right set:
- The Default language set includes all the characters required for English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
- To support other languages, you must enable the All Characters set for the font.
Remember to republish your kit after making any changes.
Note that the Type Tester tool lacks support for the extended character sets, so you will not be able to preview diacritics or other international characters with Type Tester. You can, however, see the letter characters included in each of the languages that we support below:
